Social Media Policy – Employee Acknowledgment
Policy Summary
Social media includes all online platforms where users create, share, or engage with content. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and individuals acting on behalf of XXXXX, whether using personal or Company-affiliated accounts.
Employees are expected to uphold the same standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability online as they do in the workplace. Employees are personally responsible for the content they post and for online conduct that negatively impacts coworkers, patients, regulators, the Company, or its licenses, and such conduct may result in discipline, up to and including termination.
Key Expectations & Restrictions
When referencing XXXXX on social media, employees must:
Not represent themselves as Company spokespersons unless authorized
Clearly disclose their relationship with the Company when discussing Company matters
Use disclaimers such as ‘opinions are my own’ when appropriate.
Confidentiality, Privacy, and Security
Employees must never post or share:
Confidential or proprietary Company information
Non-public financial, legal, or operational information
Patient, customer, or employee personal information
Photos or videos from restricted or non-public work areas

Al-Generated and Edited Content
Employees may not use Al-generated or altered media that misrepresents reality, creates misleading impressions, or implies endorsements, events, or claims that did not occur. Employees remain fully accountable for any content created using Al tools.
Prohibited Conduct
Employees must not:
Post offensive, discriminatory, harassing, or threatening content
Make medical, therapeutic, safety, or product efficacy claims
Compare Company products to competitors
Engage in political advocacy while representing the Company
Post content depicting cannabis consumption or prohibited activity
Use Company branding for unauthorized promotions or giveaways
Influencers and Brand-Adjoining Activity
Employees who receive compensation, free products, or have significant social media followings must obtain prior written approval before posting Company-related or cannabis-related content.
Crisis, Incidents, and Escalation
Any social media activity involving XXXXX that may raise legal, regulatory, safety, or reputational concerns must be immediately reported to a supervisor, Human Resources, Compliance, or Legal before responding.
Monitoring, Enforcement, and Employee Rights
The Company may monitor social media activity conducted on Company systems or related to business use. Violations may result in discipline, up to and including termination. Nothing in this policy restricts legally protected concerted activity, including discussions about wages, hours, or working conditions.
All cannabis-related content must also comply with the Cannabis Social Media Compliance Guide and all state-specific advertising and marketing regulations.
