I am beginning to seek out interested parties in a trademark cancellation claim against Canna. If you would like to help in this process, I have the plan ready to go.
The grounds for cancellation is that the trademark has become generic. See 15 U.S.C. §1064. For example, under U.S. trademark law, a petition for cancellation may be filed any time if the registered trademark becomes the generic name for the goods or services, or a portion thereof.
If you are a business with canna in your name please Contact Us
First, claim a state, and let me know you would like to work it.
Second, use the states resources, like the VA SCC, to search out active businesses with the word canna in their name.
Third, research the business to make sure they fall into the class of selling soil/nutrients/equipment/or consulting. These will be our priority businesses to get in contact with at first.
Fourth, compile a list of the businesses with emails, phone numbers and website if possible.
