If you got an invite at E3C, here is how to use it.
First things first, you need to choose a client to use. Clients are needed to chat using Matrix. Here is a selection of the most mature ones you can safely use.
I recommend Element-X for Android or iOS
The sequence of screen shots below display how you sign in on Element-X on an android device. iOS may vary a little.
Step 1: You will click sign in manually here, and on the next screen you will choose “change account provider”
Step 2: Choose “Change Account Provider” here, on the next screen choose “Other”
Step 3: Here you will choose “Other”,
Step 4: You will enter “https://hyena-matrix.com” or “hyena-matrix.com” (depending on what element x needs for this version) and continue. Side Note: Other apps may ask for the full address https://hyena-matrix.com
Step 5: Tap continue. once it says you’re about to sign into: hyena-matrix.com
Step 6: This is where you will enter your user name and password
Step 6.1: As apps change updates are needed. If you reach this screen, just choose “Can’t Confirm” you will only verify your device with people you know.
Step 7: Once logged in Send a message to System Support to be invited to the E3C channel by tapping the + sign in the corner.
